1st Series – Land Double with a Flyer

58 Dogs Started this Series

Test Dogs started out the day at 7:44 am, beginning with "Daphne" with handler Kody Reynolds and then "Breeze" with handler Wayne Turczi. This gave the competitors a good idea of what they might expect for the first series. 

Our first running dog #49 MILLCREEK’S DRAKE’S BAY HANNAH, “Hannah,” LF, with handler Brad LaFave came to the line at 8:02 am.

The weather during this series was sunny with a highs in the 60s

Here is how things turned out for the 1st Series…

Our last running dog for Series 1 was #
36. MORNINGSTAR’S NO TIME TO PLAY, “Legion,” LM, with handler Joshua Lee for a re-run. They came to the line at 12:07 pm and completed the test at 12:11 pm.

58 dogs were sent from the line in this series, taking a total of 4 hours and 9 minutes, which averages out to be just over 4 minutes per dog. 

We are moving on to the 2nd Series ... Callbacks will be posted next!

Test Complete - 1st Series

 The 1st Series was completed and in the books at 12:11 pm.

Rerun 36. MORNINGSTAR’S NO TIME TO PLAY, “Legion,” LM, Joshua Lee

Legion and Joshua came back to the line at 12:07 pm

F –Across the terraces, made a loop left and then a loop right and over to his bird.

R – Across the field and into the cover under the arc - hunted along the cover in front of the gunners and then into the cover to get his bird.






Rerun 55. DRAKES BAY’S NELLI, “Nelli,” LF, Rick Wilke

Nelli and Rick came back to the line at 12:05 pm

F – Into the area - worked a little deeper and right, and then she was on her bird.

R – Nice line to the cover - she pulled out her bird!

48. SEASIDE’S SEAL TEAM SIX, “Scuba,” LF, Hunter Hamrick

Scuba and Hunter came to the line at 12:02 pm

F – Took a loop on the way out and then she was right on her bird.

R – Into the cover and left - out and to the right - back into the cover, out again and she had her bird.

45. D&B’S WEIGHT OF THE WORLD ON HIS SHOULDERS, “Atlas,” LM, Bobby Raasch

Atlas and Bobby came to the line at 11:53 am

F – Long bird - stopped for a couple loops short, 1 turn wide right and he was back to the bird.

R – Turned left before the cover - ran up and down and then wide left and right - had a hunt, but he got it

44. WATERMARK’S CARBON WARRIOR, “Willis,” LM, Marc Patton

Willis and Marc came to the line at 11:50 am

F – Straight out to his bird.

R – Into the cover, a quick turn and he got it!

Rerun 37. BIG COTTONWOOD COSMIC “TOOTS”, “Toots,” LF, George Wamsley

Toots and George came back to the line at 11:48 am

F – Out close to the flyer guns - turned right and got it

R – Out to the cover in front of the guns, made a loop and got it!



47. MIDDLE CREEK’S DON’T WANT THIS SMOKE, “Smoke,” LM, Erik Thompson

Smoke and Erik came to the line at 11:59 am

F – Excellent mark on the flyer

R – Straight line to his bird.


43. DRAKES BAY’S OTIS, “Otis,” LM, Rick Wilke

Otis and Rick came to the line at 11:45 am

F – Out across the terraces, made a couple short loops, then looped right and to the bird.

R – Across the field, into the cover close to the gunners, then a left turn along the cover and he got his bird.



42. STRADIVARIUS, “Gibson,” LM, Donald Fregelette

Gibson and Donald came to the line at 11:41 am

F – Across the terraces, hunted close to the gunner and then got out of the area of the fall and got his bird.

R – Across the field into the cover under the arc and then a quick left turn to grab up his bird.

41. BRISTOL’S NORTH PLAINS NISA, “Nisa,” LF, Doreen Comrie-Bristol

Nisa and Doreen came to the line at 11:37 am

F – Very long flyer, out across the terraces, a wide line to her bird!

R – Across the field, into cover and under the arc, out of the cover and back in right to her bird!


40. HOCKLEY CREEK’S SIXTY STRAIGHT, “Jenny,” LF, Robby Bickley

Jenny and Robby came to the line at 11:34 am

F – Right to the area and she was on her bird.

R – Out to the cover, made a quick loop and she jumped into the cover to pull out her bird!

39. TELL YOUR TROUBLES TO THE BARMAID, “Tonic,” LM, Sarah Shull

Tonic and Sarah came to the line at 11:30 am

F – Moving to the area with purpose, he was on his bird in no time!

R – Lazer straight line to his bird!



38. PIPER’S FLAWLESS EXECUTION - STEALTH, “Stealth,” LM, Johnny Armstrong

Stealth and Johnny came to the line at 11:28 am

F – A hawk almost got to the flyer before Stealth did ... but Stealth prevailed and got his bird!

R – Very nice bird.



No-Bird 37. BIG COTTONWOOD COSMIC “TOOTS”, “Toots,” LF, George Wamsley

Toots and George came to the line at 11:27 am and had a No-Bird on the flyer

They will come back to the line after 6 running dogs


No-Bird 36. MORNINGSTAR’S NO TIME TO PLAY, “Legion,” LM, Joshua Lee

Legion and Joshua came to the line at 11:23 am

F – Ran behind the flyer guns - hunted short and stretched hunt out left and right.

R – Bird landed outside of the cover - 4 Wheeler in the field - Will get a rerun at the end

NOTE

Handlers can view the line now.

Caravan to the 2nd series is getting ready - Callbacks will be at the 2nd series location.

35. SEASIDE’S STRYKE FORCE, “Stryker,” LM, Marc Patton

Stryker and Marc came to the line at 11:17 am

F – Out to the area - turned wide right - got deeper and quickly came back in left to the bird.

R – Wide right approach going out, came into the area right and behind the guns - Into the cover for a wide left turn, back right near the gunners. Established a very extended hunt, but he got it.



34. FATCITY’S FULL BLOWN ADDICTION, “Smack,” LM, Zach Campbell

Smack and Zach came to the line at 11:10 am

F – Out across the terraces, to the long flyer - made a nice wide right line straight to his bird!

R – Across the field into the cover under the arc, turned left and was to his bird!
