5th Series – Water Single

52 Dogs Started this Series

Test Dogs started out this series at 7:30 am, beginning with "Breeze" and handler Wayne Turczi and then "Daphne" with handler Kody Reynolds. The teams got their first look at what to expect for this series, and we were ready to get this 5th Series started!

The first running dog #55. DRAKES BAY’S NELLI, “Nelli,” LF, with handler Rick Wilke came to the line at 7:53 am.

The weather this morning started out cool with clear and sunny skies. Temps started out in the high 40's early and went up to the mid 70's by late morning.

Here is how things turned out for the 5th Series…

Our last running dog for Series 5 was #38. PIPER’S FLAWLESS EXECUTION - STEALTH, “Stealth,” LM, with handler Johnny Armstrong for a Rerun. They came to the line at 12:11 pm and completed the test at 12:16 pm.

52 dogs were sent from the line in this series, taking a total of 4 hours and 23 minutes, which averages out to be almost exactly 5 minutes per dog. 

We will be moving on to the 6th Series shortly with Callbacks coming at the next location.

Rerun 38. PIPER’S FLAWLESS EXECUTION - STEALTH, “Stealth,” LM, Johnny Armstrong

Stealth and Johnny came back to the line at 12:11 pm for their rerun

F – Drove angled up the hill - hunted the area hard between the guns and the bush - whistled and handled to the bird.

R – Went out wide right and hunted short - up the tree line and then out deep - but came in to his bird.

Stealth and Johnny came to the line at 11:01 am

F – Up the hill and circled the bush

R – Interference with traffic in the back drop - a No-Bird was called and they will come back and run at the end

54. DAYBREAKS KING DAVID, “David,” LM, John Lynch

David and John came to the line at 12:06 pm

F – Up to the bush and squared the hill - hunted between the bush and the guns - worked back left and to the bird.

R – Very nice line on an angle across the field - straight to his bird!

53. GREEN RIVER’S KOUNTRY GIRL, “Maggie,” LF, Marc Patton

Maggie and Marc came to the line at 12:02 pm

F – She got a short flyer and hunted left but worked it out and got her bird.

R – Straight to the bird! Very Nice.

52. FALL CREEKS GIBSONS CLUTCH HIT, “Clutch,” LM, Caleb Brown

Clutch and Caleb came to the line at 11:58 am

F – Nice Flyer!

R – Hunted deep of the guns and went back and forth left of the road - worked across to locate his bird.

51. FULL SEND, “Valley,” LF, Joel Bodenman

Valley and Joel came to the line at 11:51 am

F – Up the hill in front of the guns to the bush - circled and hunted deep - worked back to the fall area and missed - went back deep right - got very wide right - very extended hunt - but she found it!

R – Right line going out - worked the tree line and up to the bird.

50. NESHOBA COUNTY MAN OF DISTINTION, “Judge,” LM, Mike Bassett

Judge and Mike came to the line at 11:45 am

F – Great line - Nice job!

R – Tumbled going up the hill - kept going - went left of the guns deep and crossed back and forth across the road - then down to grab his bird.

49. MILLCREEK’S DRAKE’S BAY HANNAH, “Hannah,” LF, Brad LaFave

Hannah and Brad came to the line at 11:42 am

F – Excellent Mark!

R – Nice drive up the hill angling the road and to the bird.

48. SEASIDE’S SEAL TEAM SIX, “Scuba,” LF, Hunter Hamrick

Scuba and Hunter came to the line at 11:38 am

F – Very nice line to this mark!

R – Left side of the bushes - going to the right side of the gunners - angled across the road for a quick loop and then down to his bird for a good job.

47. MIDDLE CREEK’S DON’T WANT THIS SMOKE, “Smoke,” LM, Erik Thompson

Smoke and Erik came to the line at 11:35 am

F – Up to the bush and circled - started hunting - out around the gunners and then was out to his bird.

R – Up the middle of the field to the top - crossed over behind the guns and worked down to his bird.

45. D&B’S WEIGHT OF THE WORLD ON HIS SHOULDERS, “Atlas,” LM, Bobby Raasch

Atlas and Bobby came to the line at 11:30 am

F – Out under the arc as he drove up the hill and circled deep - then around the guns - hunted behind the guns and then short of the guns wide right - had an extended hunt - but worked it out and got his bird.

R – Drove the hill left of the brush - cut right - crossed the road - hunted and found his bird.

44. WATERMARK’S CARBON WARRIOR, “Willis,” LM, Marc Patton

Willis and Marc came to the line at 11:27 am

F – Came up the hill on the left - a few quick turns and he got it.

R – Up the hill on the left of the brush - cut in front of the guns and crossed the road and down to his bird.

43. DRAKES BAY’S OTIS, “Otis,” LM, Rick Wilke

Otis and Rick came to the line at 11:24 am

F – Up under the arc to the bush - hunted deep and then left - a large turn around the bush and out to the bird.

R – Good line right of the bushes on the right of the gunners - crossed the road and then over to the bird.

Pick-up 42. STRADIVARIUS, “Gibson,” LM, Donald Fregelette

Gibson and Don came to the line at 11:18 am

F – Extended hunt deep of the gunners - gunners had to come out to help - dog was picked-up

41. BRISTOL’S NORTH PLAINS NISA, “Nisa,” LF, Doreen Comrie-Bristol

Nisa and Doreen came to the line at 11:16 am

F – Beautiful Mark!

R – Great job - terrific line out and recovery.

40. HOCKLEY CREEK’S SIXTY STRAIGHT, “Jenny,” LF, Robby Bickley

Jenny and Robby came to the line at 11:10 am

F – Wide left going up - hunted wide left and worked back to the fall area and missed - bird was a runner! - she caught it at the bush

R – Great angle towards the bird - crossed the road - circled the bush pile - came back in and got itA

39. TELL YOUR TROUBLES TO THE BARMAID, “Tonic,” LM, Sarah Shull

Tonic and Sarah came to the line at 11:02 am

F – Nice line out - 2 big loops back to the bush and then the tree line - came back in and got it!

R – Up the middle of the field and cut deep - worked left behind the guns - continued left of the guns and deep  - worked the left hillside away from the guns back and forth before getting it.

37. BIG COTTONWOOD COSMIC “TOOTS”, “Toots,” LF, George Wamsley

Toots and George came to the line at 10:58 am

F – Excellent Mark!

R – Left of the bush and the gunners - she got to the top of the hill and hunted deep and left - moved her hunt to the right and located her bird.

34. FATCITY’S FULL BLOWN ADDICTION, “Smack,” LM, Zach Campbell

Smack and Zach came to the line at 10:53 am

F – Out left of the bird - circled back and got it!

R – Up the middle of the field to the top of the hill - circled back behind the guns deep and then worked down to his bird.

33. MO’S FAT BOTTOM GIRL, “Queen,” LF, Brooks Gibson

Queen and Brooks came to the line at 10:48 am

F – Up towards the gunners and established a hunt nearby - worked out to the bush and then over to the bird.

R – Pulled right but changed line and went up left of the guns - crossed the road - came down the tree line - over the bushes and down to the bird.
